Nora, daughter Matet end feud

by Athena Yap

SUPERSTAR Nora Aunor and her daughter Matet de Leon have finally patched things up after a falling-out a month ago over their bottled gourmet food business.

What’s driving the news?

In the first week of December, De Leon took to social media to score her mom for putting up exactly the same business as hers.

Matet said her mom asked her to just support her brand.

“All of a sudden, nagulat na lang ako, naglabas ang nanay ko ng direktang kumpitensya ng produkto ko. Alam niyang may produkto akong ganyan,” she said in a now-deleted Instagram post

Weeks after the 39-year-old actress aired her sentiments online, she vented out once again to her showbiz friend, Ogie Diaz, in an interview.

She said she wouldn’t want to talk ever again to Aunor, who is her adoptive mom.

John Rendez birthday

On Friday, January 7, the mother and daughter reunited during the birthday celebration of their family friend John Rendez.

Mother and daughter were seen talking again and holding hands in the birthday vlog that Rendez uploaded.

He shared how the two reconciled.

He said the superstar and her daughter spoke again before welcoming the New Year.

La Aunor initiated a reconciliation with her daughter, and the latter responded quickly, he said.

He said mother and daughter talked over the phone to resolve their problem.

De Leon, in her YouTube stream, also shared how she and her mother ended their feud.

She revealed that it was her mom who messaged her first to work things out.

“Kami ni mommy ko ay nagkaayos na. Nakita na nila, nag-upload na ng video si Kuya John. I think I spoke too soon when I said I didn’t want to talk to her anymore… See what anger can do?” she said.
