BTS’ RM to release 2nd solo album in May

by Deanna Macaranas

SOUTH Korean rapper RM of the boyband BTS is set to release his second solo debut album titled “Right Place, Wrong Person” next month.

Being enlisted in the South Korean military didn’t stop the BTS members from releasing their new tracks, and as for BTS’ rapper RM, his second album was announced to arrive on May 24.

RM’s labels HYBE and BIGHIT said the album consists of 11 songs under the alternative genre. They said in a press release that “the album delves into the relatable sensation and moments of feeling like a stranger, out of place.”

BIGHIT MUSIC also said on WeVerse that the tracks captured “some point in life, such as the feeling of being an outsider who doesn’t fit in.” They also added how the album incorporated the facets of RM as a solo artist, separating it from the albums released under BTS.

It was in December 2022 when RM released his debut solo album “Indigo.” The album hit the Top 10 in charts around the world and opened at No.13 on the Billboard 200 in the US. The album later jumped into the Top 10 of Billboard 200 after the physical edition of the set arrived.

Pre-orders of RM’s “Right Place, Wrong Person” will begin on April 26 (Friday) at 10 am. The album will also be released on May 24 (Friday) at 12 noon in the Philippines.

BTS members are undergoing their mandatory military service and are set to reunite as a group in 2025.
