by Izel Abanilla

JHO Rovero, wife of actor Andrew Schimmer has passed away.

After the actor posted an emotional video of himself crying over what seems to be his wife’s death, messages of condolences from the netizens flooded his feed post on Facebook today, December 20, 2022.

Rovero endured a year-long battle with severe hypoxemia that escalated into various complications. She was admitted at St. Luke’s Hospital at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig since November 2021.

In Schimmer’s post, he shared the story of how he knew about his wife’s passing.

“Kanina habang nasa GMA ako, para sa taping supposedly ng Family Feud, tinawagan ako ng mga doctors niya dito sa St. Luke’s na biglang nawala ‘yung kanyang BP and everything, wala lahat pati ‘yung oxygen saturation niya,” he said.

“Kaya naman nagpaalam ako sa GMA, I want to apologize to the whole management of Family Feud pasensya lahat hindi ko talaga natuloy yung kanina dahil kinakailangan ko pong tumakbo dito agad-agad sa St. Luke’s dahil nga po nag-disat ‘yung kanyang oxygen saturation and blood pressure and heart rate so,” he continued.

“Dali-dali naman tayong dumating dito. Inabutan natin siyang ni-re-revive nung ating mga doctors and nurses. They did everything they could. Sakit lang gusto ko lang ibalita sa inyo,” he said.

He then extended gratitude to everyone, especially his online followers for their prayers for his wife and their family.

What even tore his heart was the fact that his wife’s death was right on time for their youngest child’s birthday.

“Birthday nung bunso namin mamaya, ang sakit lang kasi di siya inabutan ng bunso namin,”

Crying in pain, Schimmer showed his wife to their loyal followers on her deathbed one last time.

“Eto siya ngayon, wala nang buhay ‘yung kamay niya. Pakita ko siya sa inyo, one last time, eto ‘yung ating sleeping beauty. Mommy, mommy,” he said while sobbing.

“Mahal na mahal ka namin love ko. Para to sa mga followers mo. Para to sa mga nagdadasal sayo ng paulit-ulit ‘di sila tumigil. Mommy, mommy. Mommy,” he said.

As per the actor’s November 17 medical update on Facebook, he said Rovero was doing well and that her digestive system is in good condition. Besides that, her blood pressure and oxygen saturation too are stable.

Last October 10, Schimmer gladly shared to his followers that Rovero was already cleared to leave the hospital but was rushed back over just a week later.

Last December 12, the actor posted a photo of two wedding bands and revealed their plans of having a church wedding.

He wrote, “We will not wait anymore for the right moment to come…by GOD’s grace it will HAPPEN. [crying, praying hands emojis] very very [church, sad face, praying hands emojis]”

In another Facebook post, he said, he once again professed his undying love for his wife.

He said, “The Love of my Life…my wife..my best friend.. my partner in everything. Remember your prom[i]se, together forever. [broken heart emoji]”
