Jeric Raval on AJ pregnancy: ‘Walang katotohanan’

by Izel Abanilla

“Ako na po ang nagsasabi at ulitin ko, ang isyu na yun ay isyu lang ho ‘yun. Wala hong katotohanan lahat.”

MANILA, Philippines – This was how veteran action star Jeric Raval put it, hoping  “the never-ending” rumor about his daughter AJ having been pregnant and having given birth to her supposed love child with rumored boyfriend, Aljur Abrenica, would soon be put to rest.

Members of the entertainment press caught up with the actor during the press conference for the movie “Pinoy Ghost Tales” Friday (December 9) in Quezon City.

In a previous interview with veteran talent manager Ogie Diaz in his Youtube program, the actor denied that AJ was pregnant.

But Diaz, in a November 29 episode of his digital show,  claimed that a source indeed has confirmed to him that AJ had already given birth to her child with Aljur at an undisclosed hospital somewhere in Pasig City.

Diaz did not name the source.

This was the father’s response:

“Yung mga naglabasang isyu dati kay AJ na, actually, matagal na yun, e. Nagtataka ako bakit hanggang ngayon hindi pa nanganganak. May buntis, ilang buwan na overdue na,” he said.

“Okay lang yun, anak. At least napapag-usapan ka. Okay lang yun. Masanay ka sa ganyan. Pasok sa kanang tenga, labas sa kaliwa,” he said.

But Jeric plead to those spreading rumors about his daughter: “Sa mga tao na hanggang ngayon ay pinag-usapan ‘yung isyu tungkol dun sa anak ko, sana po patahimikin na po natin. Kawawa naman po yung bata.”

AJ was with her father during the press conference. She was in casual clothes and a cap.

Although she is part of the cast, AJ opted to just drop by, her father said.

She left at once for another story conference of a movie she would be making under her home studio, Viva Entertainment.

“Pinoy Ghost Tales” is a horror trilogy just like cinema classics “Shake, Rattle & Roll” and “Huwag Kang Lalabas.”

Jeric and Ajl star in the movie’s third episode “The Actress”.
