WHAT a year-starter!
Showbiz couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano can’t contain their happiness in finally becoming parents after she gave birth to their first baby.
They named their baby girl Isabelle Rose Tawile Manzano, Luis revealed in an Instagram post last Friday, January 7.
On the same day, Jessy uploaded a glimpse of their baby girl on her Instagram account. The photo she shared showed her holding the baby’s hand.
“I never knew I could love like this,” Jessy wrote in her caption, where she called her baby “little Rosie.”
Fans showered the comments section with congratulatory messages.
Of course, fellow celebrities didn’t miss the chance to greet the two.
“Can’t wait to meet you [Peanut],” Anne Curtis commented.
“Awww Congratulations Jessy and Kuya. Hello Peanut,” Angeline Quinto said.
Alex Gonzaga, Luis’ “frenemy,” peppered the comments section with red hearts.
In an Instagram post, the 30-year-old Mendiola also revealed that she gave birth in late December.
She showed a whole body mirror shot and said she missed her baby bump. She also said she was almost two weeks in postpartum.
A few days before they posted about Jessy giving birth, the lovebirds shared a glimpse of the nursery room they prepared for their baby on the actress’ YouTube vlog.
Manzano’s mother, the Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, surprised the public in September when she interviewed the couple about becoming parents and when she talked about how she looked forward to becoming a grandmother.
The veteran actress was obviously excited because it was her first time becoming a “ Lola,” or grandmother.
The Manzano couple was supposed to tie the knot in February 2021 but the wedding was postponed due to pandemic restrictions. They surprised the public when they exchanged vows in a garden wedding in April 2021, attended only by a very few important guests.
The showbiz couple announced her pregnancy in August 2022. They are looking forward to having a church wedding.
