FranSeth to star in their first-ever film

by Joanna Deala

POPULAR Gen Z love team Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, also known as FranSeth, are set to have their first big screen project together, Star Magic announced.

On Thursday, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm said that Diaz and Fedelin will topbill a new film called “My Future You,” which will be helmed by Filipino filmmaker Crisanto B. Aquino. It will be produced by Regal Films.

Star Magic shared on Instagram a series of photos of the two young stars during the script reading session for the movie, attended by their fellow cast members and crew. Joining them in the film are Christian Vasquez, Peewee O’Hara, Bodjie Pascua, Marcus Madrigal, Almira Muhlach, Mosang, and Vance Larena.

“The future looks extra bright for Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin as the two just had a productive script reading session for the upcoming ‘My Future You’ film, which will be directed by Crisanto B. Aquino and produced by Regal Films,” the agency said.

The 21-year-old actor also posted copies of their script on his Instagram story, where he tagged Francine. The 20-year-old actress reposted the photo on her Instagram story.

FranSeth beginnings

While this will be their first film together, this is not the first project the tandem worked on. FranSeth first starred in the revenge television series “Kadenang Ginto” in 2018. At that time, they had their respective on-screen partners: Kyle Echarri and Andrea Brillantes.

These four young stars formed the Gold Squad, who teamed up again for the 2022 drama series “Huwag Kang Mangamba.”

In 2023, many viewers saw the chemistry between Diaz and Fedelin in the acclaimed revenge series “Dirty Linen,” their first official project as a love team.

In the same year, FranSeth had another small screen project titled “Fractured.” The thriller miniseries follows a group of influencers trapped in a disappointing island resort.

In February, Diaz ventured on her solo project with South Korean actor and singer Seo In-guk, where they collaborated for a song called “My Love.” But despite her solo endeavor, the Kapamilya actress assured that FranSeth remains as a love team.

“May FranSeth pa rin naman po. Siyempre, kami naman po, we also want to explore din ng solo kami. Pero, it doesn’t mean naman na wala na ‘yung love team,” she told Inquirer in February.

On Tuesday, Diaz and Fedelin celebrated their fifth year anniversary as an on-screen love team, sharing photos and clips of their adventures together.
