Filipinos flock to ports, shopping areas ahead of holiday break

FILIPINOS began traveling to different parts of the country to celebrate the holiday season.

Thousands flocked to passenger terminals to catch trips, especially those bound for the provinces.

Many opted to travel early to avoid the surge in passengers.

As Christmas neared, Filipinos also trooped to shopping areas to find holiday gifts.

December 25 and 26, 2023, and New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024, have been declared non-working days to give Filipinos more time to enjoy the Yuletide break.
