by Izel Abanilla

IT’S official!

The Eraserheads did not disappoint fans who wanted to see it perform live once again as the iconic ‘90s alternative rock band will bring its successful “Huling El Bimbo” concert to the United States and Canada in May.

On Instagram, lead vocalist Ely Buendia announced the tour dates, leaving fans raving in excitement.

The tour will start on May 19 in Las Vegas, followed by performances in Los Angeles on May 20 and in San Francisco on May 25 and 26.

The group will then head to Canada with performances in Vancouver on June 3, Winnipeg on June 9, Edmonton on June 10, and Toronto on June 16.

The group will then head back to the US for their New York leg on June 17.

“North America, you’re next,” Buendia wrote.

Ronald Allen Esguerra, chief executive officer of WEU Event Management Services, shared on Facebook photos of the official contract signing of the band for their North America and Canada concerts.

WEU Event Management Services, together with DVent Productions and NY Productions, were the local promoters of “Huling El Bimbo.”

Details of ticket sales have yet to be announced as there is a possibility that more show dates will be added.

The announcement of the world tour comes over a month after Erasherheads’ highly successful reunion concert last December 22, 2022, which was attended by 75,000 fans who waited for over a decade to see the guys hit the stage and perform together again.

The band broke up in 2002 after Buendia decided to quit the group.

During the December 2022 concert, fans saw Buendia, lead guitarist Marcus Adoro, bassist Buddy Zabala, and drummer Raymund Marasigan reunite for their third and last show [according to promoters] in the Philippines.
