SEVERAL fans of BeaDom, the tandem of ex-engaged couple Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, remained hopeful for their rekindled relationship especially after Roque was recently spotted with Alonzo’s photo on his phone lock screen.
Although he keeps Alonzo’s photo with him, Roque’s pictures could no longer be found on the actress’ Instagram account.
Before their breakup, Alonzo frequently posted photos of her with her ex-fiancé on IG, particularly from their travel adventures. But eagle-eyed netizens noticed that these photos are now missing, including their joint statement where they confirmed the end of their relationship.
However, the 36-year-old actress did not remove some of her solo photos taken by Roque, with his IG username still on the caption as photo credits.
In one of Alonzo’s photos taken in Luzern, Switzerland, where she and Roque spent time together, a netizen said that he or she was “heartbroken” that the ex-couple’s photos are no longer visible on the actress’ IG account. Despite this, the netizen said, “Praying for your healing and happiness.”
Meanwhile, the former couple’s photos and reels—including the behind-the-scenes clip of Roque’s marriage proposal to the actress in Quezon City—can still be seen on Roque’s IG page.
As of writing, the two celebrities are still following each other on IG.
Earlier this month, Roque was spotted accidentally showing his phone lock screen that featured a photo of Bea and her dog when a netizen asked him for a video greeting. The actor was holding the netizen’s phone on his left hand and his phone on the other. His lock screen accidentally flashed when he raised his right hand while he was filming himself.
His lock screen was the photo that Alonzo posted on social media in June 2023, featuring her and her dog Walter.
Fans also noticed that Alonzo and Roque posted their March photo dump on their respective IG pages. It was Alonzo who first posted her March dump on April 2, followed by Roque on April 3.
While some hope for a second chance for their relationship, the former couple has not addressed reconciliation rumors.
It was in 2021 when Alonzo confirmed that she and Roque were dating after being friends for years. They were then engaged in July 2023 but in February 2024, they confirmed that they “mutually” called off their engagement. They did not disclose the reason but said that such a decision was “not an easy” one to make.
