Promoter ZS Entertainment World announced on Wednesday that the Manila concert of ‘90s boy groups Blue and Boyzlife has been postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances.” 

The promoter did not specify exactly what the reason was for postponing the concert originally scheduled on April 29 at the Circuit Event Grounds in Makati. But it assured fans that it is working on rescheduling it. 

“With these very unforeseen circumstances, we remain committed by putting into motion the necessary steps for a rescheduled date and delivering the most ideal fan experience,” it said.  

It also released guidelines for ticket holders. 

Firstly, it assured fans that all tickets purchased from SM Tickets, Ticketnation PH, and ZS Entertainment will still be valid and accepted once a rescheduled date has been officially announced. 

As for ticket refunds, it said a common date to process all transactions will be posted later in coordination with all ticketing partners. 

The promoter also clarified that all current ticket holders can still enjoy the 10 percent promotional discount on food and beverage items from their partner merchants until April 29. 

The bands speak to the fans

Meanwhile, both Blue and BoyzLife addressed their FIlipino fans in a statement also announcing the postponement of their concert. They said that the rescheduling of the concert will allow the promoter to set the “most ideal fan experience.” 

“Coming back to your country has always been a cherished moment for both bands and our fans are the most important part of that,” they said in a joint statement. 

“We remain so excited to see you again very soon,” they added. 

Blue is an English group that rose to prominence in the early 2000s during the tail end of the boy band era. Consisting of Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Acosta and Lee Ryan, the group released several hits including “All Rise,” “If You Come Back,” “Best in Me,” “Guilty,” Too Close,” and “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.”

BoyzLife, meanwhile, is a duo composed of two ex-boy band members: Brian McFadden of Westlife and Keith Duffy of Boyzone. 

Apart from original songs such as “Burn for you,” “Her” and “Distant Sun,” the two also perform their own version of their previous groups’ classic hits such as “Flying Without Wings” originally by Westlife and “You Needed Me” and Love Me For A Reason” by Boyzone.
