Adobo

The powerful adobo is a Filipino meal that everyone is familiar with.

For flavor, it is prepared by stewing meats chicken and pork, soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Some add a little twist to it by making it a little spicy. 

Erich Gonzales, a Filipina actress from the Philippines, gave it a try and shared it through her channel. She even shared some trivia about how her ex-screen partner on “Suddenly Its Magic,”  Mario Maurer, loves Filipino food like Adobo!

Kare-Kare

There are many ways to cook Kare-Kare in the Philippines, depending on who you ask to cook it and which province they’re from. This hearty stew is traditionally cooked with oxtail, but you can also try by putting cuts of beef.  It is cooked and prepared with peanut sauce.

Many Filipinos believe that kare-kare lacks something if it does not come with a side dish of bagoong. Erwan Heussaff, a French-Filipino who promotes Filipino dishes, featured this delicacy on his YouTube Channel, where he listed a step-by-step guide on how to make it, from stewing the meat to making the sauce.

Conchinillo

You’ll find the most delicious version of this devilish delight on the island of Cebu, but you’ll see it at practically every major party or celebration in the Philippines. Most Filipinos love Conchinillos with their crispy outer skin.

Sinigang

Sinigang is a Pinoy favorite. A mouthwatering sour dish that is typically made even sourer by tamarind or kamias. It’s more inviting to eat especially when the soup is a little thick thanks to Gabi. 

It is cooked with various veggies and in different versions like Sinigang na baboy, Sinigang na isda, or Sinigang na hipon.

Lumpiang Shanghai

Lumpiang Shanghai, the Filipino equivalent of egg rolls, is another delicacy regularly served at Filipino parties. It is commonly anticipated to be served.

Made with ground pork and veggies, it is best served with sweet dipping sauce, deep-fried till crispy. Because it is so simple to prepare, lumpia is the easiest dish to serve.
