NEARLY 89,000 Filipinos registered on the first day of voter registration for the 2025 midterm polls, according to the Commission on Elections.

The Comelec said a total of 88,809 people registered on Day 1 (February 12) of the seven-month registration campaign.
Region IV-A had the highest number of Day 1 registrants with 14,754, followed by the National Capital Region (10,623), and Region III (10,143).
By the campaign’s conclusion on September 30, around three million Filipinos are expected to have registered, the Comelec said.
