Top 5 hardest to train dogs in the Philippines

by Bryan Gadingan

DOGS, in general, are typically regarded as one of the most loving pets for a variety of reasons, ranging from their steadfast friendship to their lively and cuddly personalities.

Dogs are renowned for their steadfast devotion and unconditional love. They create profound emotional relationships with their owners, offering incomparable companionship.

Humans and dogs have formed a unique link over thousands of years, making them one of the most loved and widely owned pets in the world.

Meanwhile, some of these adorable four-legged dogs will test a fur parent’s patience when it comes to training. Occasionally, they may express frustration during a session.

With that considered, below are the top five most difficult to train dog breeds according to WagWalking, which can also be found in the Philippines (in no particular order):

Top 5 Most Difficult to Train Dogs

Bulldog

At only 16 inches tall, you’ll have a difficult time getting this powerful pup to listen. Perhaps they are less motivated to participate in training activities.

These dogs are known for their exceptional intelligence, though its strong will and lazy lifestyle imply they would prefer to ignore you while on training sessions.

Despite their intimidating appearance, they are gentle and affectionate pups who are devoted to their family.

Siberian Husky

Most people believe that the Siberian Husky is a beautiful dog. Siberian Huskies are noted for their stunning appearance and high energy levels, and they appear to use their excellent looks to get away with whatever they desire.

The Husky is a pawesome snow dog who enjoys playing with other children and pets, but they require some training. These dogs require a lot of activity and mental engagement to avoid boredom.

Patience, consistency, and a thorough grasp of how to channel their energy productively are all required while training a Husky.

Chow Chow

Chow Chows are known for their strong personalities and aloofness. They can be suspicious of strangers and may require substantial socializing, making them difficult to teach.

This breed needs a patient and knowledgeable owner who can provide command without being too harsh.

Early socialization and continuous, strong training are critical to keeping them from becoming excessively protective or aggressive.

Beagle

Those that are optimistic, if you can train a beagle to comply, they make wonderful hunting companions and trackers.

With their petite height and long dangling ears, these little cuties make excellent hunting companions as well as family pets.

However, you will need to spend some time educating them and be patient, as they are frequently sidetracked.

Chihuahua

You might not expect the world’s smallest dog to have such a strong personality.

However, training a Chihuahua requires all of your patience because they appear to think they are the boss and occasionally have an attitude.

With a lot of snark but a lot of love, these pawesome poochies make excellent playmates for anyone with a lot of time and energy.

These are only five of the most difficult to train dogs that can be found in the Philippines.

However, with good training, anything is possible given that dogs have a natural loyalty to their owners, which causes them to listen to you in some way.

According to the American Kennel Club, regulating your dog’s food and maintaining a constant schedule, whether it’s with their walks outdoors, feeding, or exercise, would be an excellent place to start when teaching them.

Regular activity improves the dog’s motility, therefore it is preferable if your furry friend is encouraged to go outdoors and have a stroll, meeting other furry playmates along the way.
