FILIPINO-AMERICAN beauty guru and social media personality Bretman Rock is in Manila to launch his memoir entitled “You’re That Bitch & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself.”
Rock arrived in Manila on Wednesday.
In a post in Instagram, where has 18.5 million followers, Rock wrote: “Serving Motherland 🇵🇭”
His book will feature an unfiltered and unprecedented memoir of his childhood in the Philippines, his family, Filipino culture, and how being a first-generation immigrant shaped him into the man he is today.
In an interview on the Zach Sang Show, Bretman said most of the stories in his book were inspired by his journals, which he later admitted he did for clout and aesthetics at first.
The book signing will take place on Saturday, March 4, at Mega Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong and on March 5 at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay.
Who is Bretman
Bretman Rock, a Hawaiian-based Filipino Youtube sensation, rose to fame for his make-up tutorials and hilarious videos.
He has received multiple awards and honors for his work as a social media personality. This includes a People’s Choice award for “Beauty Influencer” and a “Breakthrough Social Star” award at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards.

He also has his own reality television show, entitled MTV’s Following: Bretman Rock (2021), where he shows his life as he navigates old friends, new business ventures and family issues, including his father’s death and his mother’s imminent move to the Philippines.
Rock also appeared as ‘The Playboy’ in the fourth season of the YouTube Premium series ‘Escape The Night,’ which follows fantasy plots based on horror and murder mystery aesthetics.
Rock is also the first openly gay person to grace the cover of Playboy Magazine. Following Hugh Hefner and Bad Bunny, he was the third man to appear solo on the magazine cover known for its photographs of women.
