Spotify reveals new artist lineup for 2024 RADAR PH

GLOBAL music streaming platform Spotify recently unveiled the new slate of artists for this year’s RADAR Philippines. 

Launched in 2020, RADAR is a global music program that features fresh sounds from emerging artists worldwide. In the Philippines, the program has served as a vehicle for many rising Filipino artists to reach more audiences and make a name on the global stage. 

This year’s lineup embraces musical diversity with ten promising artists coming from various genres. 

Included in the 2024 lineup are the current OPM hitmakers Maki, Dionela, and Cup of Joe and Pinoy hip-hop rising stars Hev Abi and Illest Morena

Also joining the exciting roster of RADAR artists are Pinoy R&B sound makers Jason Dhakal and Denise Julia, indie sibling duo Ysanygo, and Bicol’s pride dwta

Nation’s girl group Bini completes the list as a returnee. The group was among the RADAR artists featured last year.

According to Spotify’s Head of Music in Southeast Asia Kossy Ng, the program aims to further promote Filipino music across the world. 

“Through RADAR, we are thrilled to spotlight the breadth of incredible rising talents in the Philippines that span different genres. There is so much to discover and something for every listener. We’ve doubled down in our long-term commitment to artist development and empowered music from Asia to travel the world,” Ng said. 

For years, RADAR Philippines has experienced an impressive stream increase of more than 2.5 times, with featured artists getting new fans and streams in different countries after getting featured in the program.

Former RADAR artists DENȲ and mrld, for instance, gained significant listenership after being part of the program.
