by Joanna Deala

FILIPINO EXO-Ls had a merry Christmas celebration with South Korean rapper Park Chanyeol of the popular K-pop boy group EXO, through a fan meet held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The fun-filled event happened on Saturday, December 16, and just in time for the holidays, Pinoy fans took this opportunity to give their Christmas wishes to the K-pop idol.

Chanyeol has been active in 2023 with his December fan meet being his third show in the country this year.

The first time he visited Manila in 2023 was in May for the “Back to Back” fan concert with EXO-SC subunit member Sehun; and in October for the “fun meet” organized by local cosmetics brand Ever Bilena.

His latest fan meet was organized by local clothing brand Penshoppe, where he is the newest global ambassador.

In October, the EXO member also released a comforting solo single “Good Enough,” which he dedicates to those who are pursuing their dreams.

With his busy schedule, EXO-Ls wish nothing but good health for Chanyeol this Yuletide season.

While fans await the two members’ return, Trent Lanuza, 20, hopes that other EXO members will reunite.

“I was about to say reunion ng EXO, but I think Kai is in the military, but a reunion with the other members na present would be nice,” he said.

Sabornido shared this wish and said she hopes that the group would return to the music scene in 2024.

Fan meet highlights

The Korean rapper had fans’ hearts fluttering when he opened his fan meet with a song performance of “Nothin.”

The K-pop star delighted fans with more performances of “SSFW” and “Tomorrow.”

Three lucky EXO-Ls went home happy as they were gifted by Chanyeol with white shirts that he customized at the fan meet.
