Make-up artist denies money, credit card issues led to fallout with Heart Evangelista

by Izel Abanilla

Before the issue of unpaid debts and a “maxed-out” credit card leading to their fallout goes out of proportion, Justin Louise Soriano, now the former make-up artist of fashion icon Heart Evangelista, speaks up to dismiss such rumors.

The issue supposedly first came out in a blind item by television host DJ Jhaiho, where he said that a “famous celebrity” apparently fired her “stylist and make-up artist” over money issues.

The glam team reportedly used the celebrity’s credit card but failed to pay their dues. DJ Jhaiho even revealed that one member of the actress’ glam team had cried in front of her and admitted spending her money without her permission.

However, another version of the story claims that the reason for the fallout between the mysterious celebrity and some of her glam team was because they were mistreated.

Netizens quickly presumed that the celebrity was Evangelista, and the stylist and make-up artist being referred to were Soriano and Jheck Aguilar.

Since the issue came out, netizens have been peppering Soriano and Aguilar’s social media pages with questions about the controversy.

This prompted Soriano to answer some of them. One netizen asked him, “nag-fall out ba kayo ni @iamhearte?”

His answers indicated that indeed, there was a falling out, but he insisted that money was never the reason behind it.

“The falling out has nothing to do with money matters. Please, let’s stop making issues. We are over it already. Patahimikin na po natin ito,” he said.

Soriano’s TikTok page was likewise not spared from the questions of curious netizens. Many of them directly asked him the truth about the credit card issue, which he clarified.

“HIndi yan ang true reason ng falling out, that was created to pivot the story. But again. My mouth will remain shut,” he said in response to a question by a certain Joey de Guia.

“Wala kasing ginamit na credit card. I have my own business. I earn on my own, I have two credit cards with the limits I needed and live within my means,” he added.

He also said he would rather not fuel the fire by revealing his version of the truth and instead just let things pass.

He also said the issue was nothing but a mere “PR thing” and that, truthfully, there is “nothing to defend.”

He added that the actress was in fact the only one who maxes out her credit card because of the expensive items she uses every day.

He also replied to a netizen who presumed an NDA, or non-disclosure agreement, exists between the parties since no one is speaking about the issue.

“No NDA’s/ I just want peace,” Soriano said.

He also said he is still friends “with people who matter. And that’s all that matters.”
