LIST: Korean idols heading to Manila in January 2024

by Joanna Deala

2023 has seen a lot of Korean artists coming to Manila for their fan meets and concerts.

These events have not even ended yet, but we are already seeing confirmations from Korean idols who are set to visit the country next year to meet their Filipino fans anew.

So, Hallyu fans, get your wallets and hearts ready as 2024 will bring these Korean artists closer to you in January:

January 6: Super Junior’s Yesung

2024 will open with a gift for Filipino ELFs as Super Junior member Yesung is set to bring his “Unfading Sense” solo concert on January 6 to the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

Local promoter PULP Live World revealed on X (formerly Twitter) the ticket prices which range from P6,500 for the Balcony section to P15,000 for the VIPY section; the seat plan and exclusive fan benefits that Pinoy ELFs can get based on their ticket tiers.

Fan benefits such as access to meet and greet, 1:15 group photo, exclusive photocard, and signed poster will be given through a raffle. What’s sure is that all attendees will get a souvenir show card.

Tickets will be available via TicketNet website and outlets nationwide on December 17.

“Unfading Sense” is Yesung’s first solo event in the country. His last Manila visit was during Super Junior’s fan party at the Araneta Coliseum in July 2023.

His solo concert comes after the release of his fifth mini album “Unfading Sense.” His latest EP is composed of six tracks namely, “Scented Things,” “Silhouette,” “Fornever,” “Butterfly,” “Slide Away,” and “I am.”

January 13 to 14: SEVENTEEN

Filipino CARATs will also rejoice in the first month of the year as K-pop group SEVENTEEN will be holding a two-day concert at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan on January 13 to 14.

THE 13-member group is set to return to the country for the Philippine-leg of its “Follow” tour.

The musical event was initially scheduled for one day only, but concert organizer Live Nation added another show due to high demand.

The general ticket selling for the January 14 show was already held on November 16, while tickets for the January 13 show were sold out. Prices range from P4,550 to P19,000.

SEVENTEEN was in the Philippines in 2022 for their “Be The Sun” concert in Manila and Bulacan.

January 14: GOT7’s Mark Tuan

Another GOT7 member will grace the Philippine stage as Mark Tuan is set to visit the country for his “The Other Side” tour on January 14 at the SM North Edsa Skydome.

PULP Live World has released details on ticket prices, seat plan, and fan benefits. Prices range from P5,500 for regular seated to P15,500 for royalty standing. Tickets will go on sale starting December 22 via SM Tickets’ website and outlets.

Fan benefits include 1:1 photo op, 1:5 group photo op, exclusive photocards, exclusive signed photocard, signed poster, key chain, access to soundcheck and goodbye session, and special poster. These benefits will be given based on fans’ ticket tier and through a raffle.

All attendees will get a souvenir show card.

Tuan is the final member of the septet who will hold a solo performance. Since they focused on their solo careers, GOT7’s members have been going to Manila separately to perform, which fans called GOT7’s tingi era. “Tingi” refers to Filipinos’ practice of buying products in small quantities.

The 30-year-old Taiwanese-American singer will be the latest GOT7 member to visit the country, after Yugyeom who was among the headliners at the “K-Magic Live” concert in October at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Tuan’s concert tour comes in support of his 20-track album, “the other side.”

January 21: NCT 127

The month of January will be another win for Filipino Czennies as they will be seeing K-pop boy group NCT 127.

The nine-member NCT will be meeting their fans for the Philippine leg of its “Neo City – The Unity” concert tour on January 21 at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.

Concert organizer DNM Entertainment released the seat plan and ticket prices for the musical event, which range from P4,500 for the Upper Bleachers C section to P13,500 for the Standing N (1, 2, 3, 4) section.

Debuting in 2016, NCT 127 is composed of Taeyong, Taeil, Mark, Haechan, Johnny, Yuta, Jaehyun, Jungwoo and Doyoung.

Their last performance in the country was during their “NEO CITY: THE LINK” concert in September.

SM Entertainment previously announced that Taeil won’t be able to join the upcoming solo concert as he is recovering from a motorcycle accident.

January 26: The Rose

Korean rock band The Rose will also be meeting its Filipino Black Roses as they bring its “Dawn To Dusk” tour to the Araneta Coliseum on January 26.
