FILO ONCEs will finally see Dahyun of K-pop girl group TWICE on the big screen!
The 26-year-old K-pop idol topbills the South Korean adaptation of the coming-of-age film “You Are the Apple of My Eye,” starring alongside South Korean actor Jung Jinyoung.
The film will roll out in Philippine theaters beginning on March 12, according to SM Cinema.
“You Are the Apple of My Eye” had its world premiere at the 29th Busan International Film Festival last year and was released in South Korean cinemas in February 2025.
Based on the novel of the same name by Taiwanese author Giddens Ko, the 2024 movie sees how a love story unfolds between a mischievous high school student named Jin-woo (played by Jinyoung) and an outstanding and popular student named Seon-ah (played by Dahyun).
The Korean remake serves as Cho Young-myoung’s directorial debut, which also stars Demian, Lee Min-goo, Kim Yo-han, Kim Min-ju, and Lee Seung-jun, among others.
Before this, “You Are the Apple of My Eye” had a Taiwanese adaptation topbilled by Ko Chen-tung and Michelle Chen in 2011.
Behind-the-scenes photos
On Instagram, the TWICE member shared several behind-the-scenes (BTS) photos from the 2024 film where she stunned in a wedding gown.
“Seon-ah is getting married,” she wrote, as translated into English by Google.
Many praised Dahyun’s visuals in her latest post, saying she looks gorgeous in her wedding gown.
She previously posted BTS photos from their filming, featuring other “You Are the Apple of My Eye” cast members.
About the lead stars
Dahyun serves as the lead rapper and vocalist of TWICE, which debuted in 2015 with its “The Story Begins” extended play (EP).
TWICE has nine members: Dahyun, Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.
They are known for their hits “What is Love?” “FANCY,” “The Feels,” and “Strategy (feat. Megan Thee Stallion),” among others. The American rapper collaborated with TWICE last year for “Mamushi Remix.”
TWICE last visited the Philippines in June 2024 for a fan meeting.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung was a member of boy group B1A4 before he ventured into acting.
He has starred in several Korean series like “Love in the Moonlight,” “Police University,” and “Sweet Home.”
