Junior Writer/Reporter

We are in need of a driven sales and marketing officer to spearhead our revenue growth and expand our client base.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for covering news and events for the company’s website
  • Work under the guidance of senior reporters and editors to produce high-quality, accurate, and engaging news articles for our audience
  • Conduct research to gather information on assigned topics
  • Attend events, press conferences, and interviews to gather information
  • Write and publish articles in a timely manner through WordPress
  • Ensure accuracy, grammar, spelling, and style in all articles
  • Develop and maintain relationships with sources
  • Collaborate with editors and other co-writers/workers to develop story ideas
  • Keep up-to-date with current events and trends
  • Use social media to promote articles and engage with the target audience
  • Such other tasks as the Company may expect and require

Qualifications:

Finance Staff

We are looking for a meticulous finance officer to ensure the financial health and compliance of Republicasia through accurate reporting and sound financial practices.

Job Description:

  • Create and maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts;
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes;
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating and financial budgets and performance projections;
  • Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury (including petty cash) and conducting internal audits;
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (file and pay with eBIR);
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines for SEC and BIR and assists Human Resource Department in terms of disbursing the mandated personnel benefits to PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, and SSS;
  • Respond to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits;
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and Philippine Accounting Standards;
  • Process payroll including validating of the employee list, cash advance monitoring and completeness/correctness of bank details;
  • Recommend best accounting practices for the improvement of internal and external financial reporting
  • Assist the management as needed in relation to accounting and tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Outstanding analytical and time management skills.

Finance Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented finance Associate to provide crucial support to our Finance Officer in maintaining the financial integrity of Republicasia.

Job Description:

  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
  • Keep supporting documents intact in accordance with regulations relating to retention.
  • Prepare and process cash/cheque requests/vouchers concerning cash advances, reimbursements and payments for production and operational expenses.
  • Monitor and document in/outflows of finances for cash in bank and cash on hand (such as petty cash and production budget).
  • Communicate and transact with banks.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Auditing Consultant for: (a) creating financial reports and projections and (b) accomplishing tax returns
  • Communicate with co-employees financial processes that concern them (such as for processing of cash/cheque requests).
  • Assist the management needs in relation to finance-related matters.
  • Perform all other tasks pertaining to finance-related concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or in a related field.
  • At least 1 year experience working as a finance associate.

We're searching for a talented videographer/video editor to bring our stories to life through captivating visuals. Your creativity will shape how our audience experiences the news.

Job Description:

  • Capture high-quality video footage on location or in studio settings. Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that align with our brand’s storytelling style.
  • Organize, catalog, and maintain a comprehensive library of video and audio assets. Ensure efficient retrieval of media for future use.
  • Prepare and arrange lighting setups, backdrops, and audio equipment for video shoots. Ensure optimal audio and visual quality during filming.
  • Identify and source relevant stock video materials to enhance video content. Incorporate stock footage seamlessly into projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop shortlist pegs and shot lists for video sequences. Assist in storyboarding and planning video shoots to align with creative vision.
  • Operate camera equipment effectively, ensuring proper framing, focus, and composition. Collaborate with the Creative Director and/or Senior Video Producer to capture desired shots.
  • Create simple motion graphics elements to enhance video content. Add text overlays, lower thirds, and other graphic elements as needed.
  • Apply color correction and grading techniques to ensure visual consistency and mood.
  • Transcribe spoken content to create accurate and accessible closed captions when necessary.
