GOOD news, Filo ENGENEs! You won’t be missing your favorite idols for so long.
The popular 4th generation K-pop boy group ENHYPEN will meet their Filipino ENGENEs once again–not for another concert but for a fun meet.
Titled “A Sweet Experience,” the event will be held on May 28 at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. This was organized by a local clothing brand..
“Clear your schedules and make way for ‘A Sweet Experience’ with @ENHYPEN!” it said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
ENHYPEN–composed of Jungwon, Sunoo, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jay, Jake, and Ni-ki–became the apparel’s ambassador last year.
Additional details about the fun meet, such as ticket prices and the seat plan, have yet to be announced.
The news came just a month after the septet capped off its “Fate” world tour at the New Clark City Stadium in February. This was the second time that ENHYPEN concluded a concert tour in the country, following “MANIFESTO” in February 2023.
Among the highlights of the musical event was when several ENHYPEN members performed Filipino hit songs popularized by P-pop king SB19, singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo, and OPM band Never the Strangers.
Sunghoon danced to SB19’s “GENTO,” Heeseung made a rendition of Tabudlo’s “Give Me Your Forever,” and Sunoo sang Never the Strangers’ “Moving Closer.”
Filipino ENGENEs, of course, were excited about seeing their idols again this year.
One fan reposted a short clip from the Philippine leg of the “Fate” concert tour, where Jungwon could be heard telling the crowd, “Guys, see you soon.”
“I [knew] something [was] up when Jungwon said ‘See you soon.’ His smile and eyebrow raise says it all,” the fan said.
Some ENGENEs were dropping photos of them with the ENHYPEN poster in different stores of the local clothing brand.
Newest ambassador
Aside from the fun meet, ENHYPEN was also announced to be the newest ambassador of a coffee and doughnut company.
The company confirmed this on their social media pages, along with a poster of the group and the coffee and doughnut company’s name.
It previously dropped a clue about their newest ambassador by dropping a poster that showed silhouettes of seven men pointing at its logo.
“Let’s turn the town orange!” it said. Some netizens were right about their guess that it was ENHYPEN.
The boy group joined the lineup of the company’s South Korean ambassadors, following actors Cha Eun Woo and Kim Soo Hyun.
The coffee and doughnut company organized a fan meeting for Cha in July 2023.
