BINI to hold first-ever ‘National Happy BINI Day’ in June

by Joanna Deala

P-POP girl group BINI has a lot in store for their fans for the month of June, which will include the celebration of their first-ever “National Happy BINI Day.”

The “nation’s girl group”—composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena—announced this in a Facebook clip featuring Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, where they also revealed a series of events they prepared for their debut anniversary month.

The “National Happy BINI Day” will be a whole-day event to be held at the One Ayala, Makati on June 11, 2024.

“To celebrate the third anniversary, we will have the first official ‘National Happy BINI Day,’” said Dyogi. “Magpapasaya po tayo sa mga BLOOMs.”

Fans, collectively known as BLOOMs, can look forward to various activities at the event including the installment of a fashion gallery, a photo booth, a craft station, and a special wall where they can relay their messages to the girl group.

There will also be a dance workshop with BINI’s coaches and a “BINI Hour” where fans can interact with their favorite P-pop idols.

The event will be held for free, but registration will be required. Further details about the “National Happy BINI Day” are yet to be announced.

BINI officially entered the local music industry on June 11, 2021, with the release of their song “Born to Win.”

Official website

BINI will also launch their official website where fans can stay updated about the group’s latest activities.

The website will feature BINI’s official announcements, exclusive content, live streaming of BINI’s events, and their upcoming official merchandise.

BLOOMs may also sign up for official membership on the website to get fan benefits such as early access to concert tickets and merch.

The girls also gave a sneak peek of their upcoming merch, including stickers, iron-on patches, a photocard holder, a photocard album, friendship bracelets, a BINI shirt, and a limited edition BINI wand.

Dyogi clarified that the BINI wand is not the group’s official lightstick, a fan accessory that is usually used during concerts and other group events.

Regional tour

BINI is set to hold their three-day solo concert, titled “BINIverse,” at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, from June 28 to 30. Tickets for these shows were sold out just a few hours after the ticket sales opened.

But BINI will make sure that those who weren’t able to secure their concert tickets will not miss out on the fun, as the girl group will embark on a regional tour across the country.

Final dates for the tour are yet to be announced, but among the locations are Baguio City, Cebu, and General Santos City.

BINI will also travel to Canada for the North American leg of “BINIverse.”

Dyogi said they are still finalizing other events for BINI, which will be revealed soon on the girl group’s website.

‘Karera’ as graduation song

BINI rose to fame with their popular summer song “Pantropiko,” which was first released in November 2023.

They continue to make noise in the music industry with the release of their diary-inspired debut extended play (EP) “Talaarawan,” featuring their other hit songs “Salamin, Salamin” and “Karera.”

“Karera,” which reminds people that life is not a race, has been played at various graduation ceremonies in the country, where students and faculty members could be seen dancing and jamming to the song.
