IN the Philippines, when a girl turns 18, it is something magical and princess-like.

But for a girl from Sariaya Quezon, she put a little twist to her 18 roses – she wanted 18 piglets instead.

Antonyt Cosico, the debutant, shared that it was her idea to instead receive piglets as a gift for her birthday. 

And the reason – practicality.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, she said, “Let’s just rotate the budget to the pig to grow, it’s like an invest-and-produce cycle. For me, practicality in life is also a key to a good life.” 

Aside from piglets, Cosico also received sacks of food for the piglets. According to Cosico, her mom also had a pig business, and this is something that she wants to do as well. 

Cosico plans to grow the money from the business and add to his tuition now that he is about to go to college.
