TIKTOK has launched a new feature called “Series” allowing qualified creators to post content under a paid subscription.
The new monetization feature gives creators another means of profiting from their app content.
Select few creators
Only a few creators can currently access the “Series.” However, creators who want to join can apply in the upcoming months.
“Series joins our growing range of monetization solutions as we continue to build new ways for creators to feel valued and rewarded as they inspire and engage our community,” Tiktok announced.
20-min videos
“Series” essentially allows creators to post compilations of Prime Video behind a premium membership that viewers can access by purchasing a subscription.
A series can contain up to 80 videos, each of which can be up to 20 minutes long.
The expanded video length for Series gives creators more time and flexibility when filming things like food preparation demonstrations, glamour lessons, instructional videos, comedic sketches, and more, since standard videos on TikTok can presently only be up to 10 minutes long.

Challenge to Youtube
TikTok is exerting pressure on YouTube’s territory yet again with this change.
Pricing
The subscription prices depend on the content creators’ liking and feel.
Access to the content can be paid for through direct in-video links or a creator’s profile.
100% earnings minus deductibles
According to Tiktok, authors will be permitted to retain 100% of their earnings after deducting any applicable costs after some time.
TikTok will probably start taking a cut in the future, but it didn’t specify how much.
In line with this Tiktok series, the redesigned creator fund named the “Creativity Program,” which TikTok debuted in beta two weeks before the release of the new function, is intended to increase revenue and provide creators with more chances.
The Creativity Program is now only accessible via an invitation to a restricted group of creators; it will soon be open to all qualifying creators. Reports by Erica Julia O. Jubilag
