BTS’ lead rapper Suga is reuniting with IU!
Just when everybody thought the collaboration of the two ended with the release of eight in 2020, BTS announced a new track from Suga that will also feature award-winning singer-actress Lee Ji-eun or IU.
In its social media accounts, the South Korean boy group unveiled a new poster for Suga’s pre-release song People Pt.2 featuring IU.
This new record from Suga is set to debut on Friday, April 7, at 1 p.m. (KST) prior to the release of his solo album D-Day on April 21.
The release of People Pt. 2 will mark the second collaboration of Suga and IU three years after the successful release of eight from IU’s fifth extended play Love Poem.
eight received a warm welcome from fans, with the song achieving a “certified all-kill” title after dominating the daily MelOn charts in 2020.
IU and Suga were also honored with the best collaboration award for the song during the 2020 MAMA Awards.
Fans rejoice
Fans of BTS and IU expressed their excitement on social media after hearing the news of the pair’s new collaboration after three years.
They said they were sure the pre-release track would be good as both artists are known for the masterful lyrics they produce in their respective songs.
The keywords “IU,” “people,” and “Suga” were also among the top three searches on Korean music streaming app MelOn.
The ‘Agust D’ tour
Aside from the rapper-dancer’s mixtape trilogy release, BTS ARMYs will also get the chance to see Suga live as he previously announced his first-ever solo world tour for this comeback.
Suga will be visiting various states and cities around the United States and the Asian region.
The show will kick-off on April 26 at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, San Diego, California.
He will also perform live in New Jersey, Illinois, California, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and South Korea.
