Belle Mariano has been making waves in the entertainment world with her acting prowess recognized locally and internationally.
The 20-year-old actress added multiple awards to the list of her accolades last year for her roles in the hit teen romantic-comedy series He’s Into Her and romantic-comedy film Love is Color Blind.
Two of the recognitions she received were “Movie Actress of the Year” award from the VP Choice Awards and the “Outstanding Asian Star” award from the Seoul Drama Awards (SDA). The SDA award is a milestone for Mariano as she is the first Filipino actress to receive it.
But acting isn’t the only talent Mariano can showcase; she can sing.
Branching out to music
Mariano became a recording artist with her debut single Sigurado, a part of the official soundtrack of He’s Into Her. The song is about taking things slowly but surely in love.
The actress-singer herself starred in the song’s music video in May 2021.
Sigurado was included in the release of her first full-length album Daylight under Star Music.
Released in December of the same year, the album has six other tracks namely With you, Rainy Days, Tanging Dahilan, For Your Eyes Only, Nights of December, and Rise.
For Your Eyes Only became one of the original soundtracks of Love Is Color Blind. This is her second song that became an OST.
In 2022, she dropped singles Kahit Na, Kahit Pa and Closer.
First solo online concert
Mariano welcomed 2022 with her first solo online concert Daylight: The Concert streamed via KTX.ph.
She was joined onstage by her onscreen partner and the other half of DonBelle, actor Donny Pangilinan, to perform a heartfelt duet of For Your Eyes Only.
Her other guests include Trisha Denise, Jayda Avanzano, Kyle Echarri, Trisha Denise, SAB, and the actress’ idol Ben&Ben.
Mariano shared some photos of her concert highlights in a January 2022 Instagram post, where she included her duets with her guest performers.
“I hope this concert reminds us that amidst all the chaos, and darkness, we should always seek hope because there will always be daylight,” she wrote in the caption.
First solo live concert
Record label StarPop delivered a good news to the actress’ fans on Tuesday, announcing that Mariano will be having another solo concert and it’s live!
“Don’t get puzzled anymore because @bellemariano02 is ready to complete her musical journey with her first solo live major concert!” it said.
Mariano’s concert is titled BELOVED. Further details about its venue, date, and ticket sale will be made public soon.
The show’s announcement came after the record label hinted about Mariano’s upcoming music project, which ABS-CBN Film’s talent management Rise Artists Studio confirmed to be her second album.
