Alden Richards Sets It Straight; No marriage, No Baby with Maine

by Izel Abanilla

ASIA’s multimedia star Alden Richards finally set it straight, there is no truth to him ever having married his love team partner Maine Mendoza who is engaged to be married to Arjo Atayde, let alone the loveteam having a child together.

He made his clarification in his exclusive interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda via his program “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”

“Wala po” Alden clearly said when asked by Boy about the never-ending rumor about him growing a family with Maine in secret.

“I think po, everything is already self-explanatory, ulitin ko po, during the AlDub era, nagpapasalamat po kami sa lahat ng suportang binigay niyo po sa amin and sa lahat po ng pagmamahal, masaya po kami na napasaya namin kayo,” he said.

“But right now po kasi kami ni Maine we’re at a point na we’re not getting any younger and we’ve already made our personal choices and we’re very good friends, up to this point,” he said.

He also added that they are in speaking terms.

Even Maine herself had, time and again, slammed the rumors and even went as far as calling out members of their fandom AlDub nation by personally messaging them to bust the spreading fake information but, to no avail.

“I would take this chance, kasi ‘yong iba sabi mag-asawa kami ni Alden, may anak na kami,” she said in her exclusive interview with talent manager and vlogger Ogie Diaz.

“Marami na rin akong mga tao na ni-direct message sa Twitter to tell them na wala pong katotohanan. Ako na mismo ‘yung nagme-message sa kanila, pero ang reply nila sa akin, ‘Hindi si Maine ‘yan. Admin ‘yan ng account ni Maine. May asawa na si Maine, may anak na si Maine’,” she said.

“Dumadating na lang ako sa point na nakakapagod na mag-explain,” she added.

Arjo too, also because of AlDub’s extreme popularity, also endured bashings, even death threats from fans who wanted to push Maine and Alden from the television to the altar.
