The immense popularity of this drink fostered the growth of the coffee shop business around the world. And with the wide availability of these cafés, more and more people have been encouraged to try out new coffee shops to discover their next favorite hangout spot.

Yardstick Coffee

Locations:

  • Rockwell Powerplant Mall: Stall 227 Maisonette R2 Level Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Makati City

Situated in various locations in Makati City, Yardstick Coffee boasts of a wide selection of coffee mixes that caters to people with varying tastes.

Aside from this, Yardstick could also be a good space for those who want to work or study in a quiet environment. Its neutral color scheme helps give off a sense of tranquility for its regulars while they sip their usual drinks.

Its store in Legazpi Village is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. The Salcedo Village branch, on the other hand, operates regularly from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and extends its closing hours to 8:30 p.m. during weekends.

Meanwhile, its stall in Rockwell Powerplant Mall is open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and until 10 p.m. during Fridays. On Saturdays and holidays, it usually operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and it closes an hour earlier during Sundays.

Candid Coffee

Location: Malugay Street, Makati City

This minimalist café located in Makati has captured the hearts of many as it caters to the busy workforce of the city’s business district.

Candid Coffee was designed by Gen Zs and millennials and has a combination of minimalist and mid-century interiors that one can surely find on their Pinterest boards.

Apart from its delicious drinks and pastries, its neat beige walls, soothing lighting, and gentle ambient music creates a calming atmosphere for the coffee-loving community, which alleviates their stresses and frustrations after a long day at work.

The store opens regularly at 7:30 a.m. and closes its doors at 9:30 p.m.

Papakape

Location: 5641 Ampere St, Makati City

Looking for a laid-back oasis where you could spend your lazy weekend afternoon? Papakape might be the perfect place for you.

This outdoor coffee shop in Makati serves one-of-a-kind brews that will surely ease your weary bones. The greenery that surrounds its premises and the  rustic-looking chairs and tables will also make its customers feel at home.

Papakape is often closed on Mondays but is open for visitors for the rest of the week from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Three Squares Cafe + Bar

Hidden inside a furniture store, Three Squares Cafe + Bar is a must-visit coffee and dining spot in Makati because of its magnificent interiors that undeniably does wonders for the soul.

This cozy space gives off a serene feeling, thanks to its light wooden fixtures, pewter couches, and greenery highlighted against neutral backdrop shades.

It is perfect for both casual coffee dates or some work meetings with your colleagues.

Deuces Coffee

Location: 103 Perea, Legazpi Village, Makati City

Also known as Makati’s “Pink Café,” the TikTok-famous Deuces Coffee isn’t just a picture-perfect coffee shop one could brag about on Instagram.

It also serves impressive coffee brews from single-origin beans that the owners curated themselves. Deuces Coffee offers a wide variety of drinks, from sweetened lattes to a special selection for its coffee enthusiast patrons.

The shop operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.
