YG Entertainment’s newest girl group BABYMONSTER shared glimpses of its members’ K-pop industry journey in the official music video for its pre-debut track.
This new record called DREAM came two days after the company’s official announcement of the official lineup of BABYMONSTER, also called Baemon,.
The DREAM music video features some footage from the group’s recent YouTube reality show called Last Evaluation.
BABYMONSTER’s seven members were first introduced to the public through this online program.
The septet’s pre-debut single is centered on following one’s dreams.

DREAM is a full English song that starts off with melancholic lyrics, where they question their capabilities and purpose in life while trying to discover their genuine self.
But by following their heart, they are able to break free from their anxieties.
The song reminds listeners to let go of everything that holds them back and go after their dreams.
About BABYMONSTER
BABYMONSTER is an upcoming girl group formed by YG Entertainment, which also manages BLACKPINK.
The label was initially planning to debut a five-piece girl band consisting of Ruka, Pharita, Ahyeon, Haram, and Chiquita.
But due to strong demand from global fans, YG’s head producer Yang Hyun-suk added Asa and Rora to the official lineup.
In a YouTube video, he emphasizes the role of fans in helping the company decide for BABYMONSTER’s future.
“‘YG Family’ is not just the gathering of YG artists, as I believe that YG fans and everyone who has diligently tuned in to these broadcasts are the true YG Family,” Yang said.
The two were initially kept out of the lineup because Yang wanted to debut Rora in YG’s next girl group.
Meanwhile, he was planning to have Asa participate in a girl group project in Japan.
“I’ve been planning to go to Japan to create a global group for the past few years,” he said.
“I wanted to include Asa in that project, which will be carried out from the end of this year to the beginning of next year,” he added.
As for the septet’s official debut, Yang said YG will do everything to make it happen as soon as possible.
“I will make sure to accelerate the speed of BABYMONSTER’s debut project,” he said.
