FAN favorite Katherine “Kitty” Song-Covey is off on her own quest to find love in the To All the Boys spinoff series XO, Kitty.
Netflix has finally dropped the official trailer for the show.
Kitty, the youngest sister of To All the Boys protagonist Lara Jean, will embark on a new adventure and chapter in her life.
The trailer shows Kitty (Anna Cathcart), flying off to study in the Korean Independent School of Seoul or KISS to learn more about her late mom and to follow a boy named Dae, who she met on a previous trip to South Korea.
But her plans don’t go as expected. She had thought Dae was her boyfriend, but it turns out that he has a girlfriend in Seoul.
Nevertheless, Kitty decides to stay in Korea to go on a new adventure. She meets new friends, adjusts to her new school and a new environment, and deals with a love triangle.
The spinoff
XO, Kitty is a spinoff of Netflix’s To All The Boys trilogy, which is based on the books by Jenny Han.
The show focused on Kitty will feature an original plot made exclusively for the character.
XO, Kitty will officially be released on May 18, 2023 on Netflix.
Netflix announced that the spinoff series starring the youngest Covey sister through a teaser released in October.
In April 2022, Netflix dropped another teaser to announce that the series was in the works.
It later revealed the main cast members of the series, with Anna Cathcart returning as Kitty Song-Covey.
Choi Minyeong plays Dae in XO, Kitty, taking over the role that Jeon Ho Young played in To All The Boys: Always and Forever. Other cast members include Anthony Keyvan, Gia Kim, and Sang Heon Lee.
Netflix dropped a First Look Clip for the show this March.
It shows Kitty finding her deceased mother’s old pictures and uniforms at her grandparents’ home. She then realizes that she wants to know more about her mom, who passed away when Kitty was a baby.
