FILM giant Star Cinema has officially released the official trailer of Coco Martin and Jodi Sta. Maria’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 entry “Labyu With An Accent.”
It has now garnered over 33k views as of writing since its November 30 release.
The movie marks the first movie team-up of Sta. Maria and Martin who is also the director of the movie.
On Wednesday, the two prime Kapamilya talents kicked off their tour for their romantic-comedy movie with a fan meet-up at the Market Market Activity Center.
The story revolves around Gabo and Trisha whose lives are entirely different from each other. Gabo makes ends meet by subjecting himself to different jobs while Trisha comes from a well-to-do family and has spent over two decades living and working in the US. They will cross paths when Trisha returns to the country.
The movie is one of Star Cinema’s two entries into this year’s film fest, the other one is Vice Ganda and Ivana Alawi’s “Partners in Crime.”
Other entries include “Mamasapano,” “My Father, Myself,” “Deleter,” “Family Matters,” “My Teacher” and “Nananahimik ang Gabi.”
MMFF opens this coming Christmas, December 25.
