by Joyce Remo

CALLING all aspiring KPop artists!

South Korean music label YG Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it will hold a global audition for KPop idol hopefuls in the Philippines.

The 2023 YG Global Audition will take place on April 16 at Zero Studio in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the pre-application period will run from March 7 to April 9.

According to the company, which handles prominent artists including BLACKPINK and BIGBANG, anyone born between 2004 to 2012 is welcome to apply.

Categories

KPop idol aspirants will also have to choose only one category to apply for, either Vocal, Rap, Dance, or Appearance.

For Vocal and Rap auditionees, YG will require them to perform a one-minute song without music to test their vocal and rapping capabilities.

On the other hand, auditionees for the Dance category will have to showcase their dancing skills through a one-minute song with music. They are also advised to bring their own music in their mobile phones.
