WTB LFS Jungkook photocard? What does that even mean?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, many netizens shifted to the digital medium to continue their businesses, birthing a new era for online selling.

Online sellers utilize all forms of social media platforms to increase their sales, from Facebook Marketplace and Live, to Instagram, TikTok, and even Twitter.

In the bird app, the buy-and-sell (BNS) culture is especially prominent among KPop fans who find it difficult to locate their idols’ photocards and albums.

However, because of the limited character count in Twitter, users are compelled to use shortcuts when posting about products they sell and want to purchase.

In Twitter BNS, netizens utilize the acronyms “WTS,” “WTB,” “LFS,” “LFB,” “PAYO,” “LP,” among others, to communicate with both sellers and buyers. These can be honestly arduous to comprehend especially when you’re new to BNS.

But worry not, here are the most common initialisms used in Twitter’s BNS culture and what they mean.

WTS LFB and WTB LFS

Starting off with an easy one, WTS and WTB mean “want to sell” and “want to buy.” Meanwhile, LFB and LFS mean “looking for buyers” and “looking for sellers.” These terms are often used together in the BNS culture.

Netizens use WTS/LFB when they are posting items for sale. For instance, if you want to sell a photocard, you will have to post: WTS/LFB SUNOO Photocard.

On the other hand, Twitter users use WTB/LFS when they are looking for a particular item to purchase. Suppose you are trying to find a specific photocard of a KPop group member. You will have to post the keyword WTB plus the description of the item you want to purchase: WTB Mamamoo Moonbyul photocard.

PAYO

When sellers and buyers use PAYO in their listings, they often mean “pay as you order.” Hence, when a BNS post includes this term, the poster expects buyers to pay first before shipping their orders.

LP

Meanwhile, this acronym may stand for two different things: lower price or last price. Oftentimes, buyers use this to ask sellers if they could sell the item at a cheaper rate.

DOO and DOP

These two acronyms pertain to deadlines. DOO means “deadline of orders” while DOP stands for “deadline of payment.” These terms are often used for pre-orders of albums that come in bulk sales.

NETA and FETA

Generally, the acronym ETA stands for “estimated time of arrival.” In the BNS culture, an ETA is divided into two categories: the normal ETA or NETA and the fast ETA or FETA.

Typically, one may see these terms for pre-ordering of albums and other merchandise that come directly from other countries. FETAs often have higher prices compared to NETAs because of the faster delivery times.
