SORRY, the old Lili can’t come to the phone right now.

The upcoming version of Tekken, the internationally loved Japanese fighting video and arcade game series, recently revealed the brand new look for the fan favorite character Lili, leaving many impressed.

Game developer Bandai Namco Entertainment showcased Lili’s new graphic and gameplay development in a 135-second trailer.

This new version of Lili will be available in Tekken 8, which will be released on Playstation, Xbox, and Steam soon, as per Bandai Namco.

Lili is part of the original Tekken character lineup that players can choose from as they immerse themselves in the Japanese combat game.

This fictional character is a 16-year-old student from Monaco who is known for her gymnastic fighting technique.

Fans were impressed with Lili’s new visuals that they said are an improvement compared to the previous Tekken versions, with many of them commending developers for doing something about the character’s “paper hair.”

Aside from Lili’s glow up, Tekken players also noticed some new fighting moves, transitions, and other animation effects from the character based on the trailer.

The new Tekken era

The release of Tekken 8 – State of Play was first announced in September last year.

According to developers, the longest running game story will be back with “state-of-the-art graphics and powerful new rivalries.”

Tekken 8 will concentrate on the father and son face-off between in-game heroes Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama.

The game will also feature “high-definition character models built from the ground-up with high-fidelity skin and hair, along with immersive graphics such as muscles that shift to reflect character movement.”

Aside from this, players will also get to enjoy a new game mechanic called Heat System that will give them the ability to harness aggressiveness as a tactic and incorporate offensive attacks into their playstyle.

Moreover, Jun Kazama, Jin’s mother and a Tekken 2 heroine, will now be playable in Tekken 8 for the first time in 25 years.

Tekken 8’s official release date is yet to be announced. This game series will be exclusively available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Digital.
