IMPRESSIVE and unstoppable Phoenix Fuel Master gained their 2nd win against the Terrafirma Dyip in PBA Governor’s Cup with a huge lead 125-100 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Maxwell evicted

Fuel Master gave their best for this game as they went with an early run and held a massive lead in the first half. Their import Du’vaughn Maxwell led the scoring for the team.

Unfortunately, Maxwell was ejected at the 6:32 mark of the third quarter on account of a flagrant foul penalty, one landing spot infraction that came after an earlier technical foul.

Jason Parkins takes over Phoenix

Despite being importless, Phoenix remained on their feet and took a 31-point lead in the same quarter. Jason Perkins took the initiative and led the team to make buckets for the game’s remaining minutes.

Today was also the debut game of Phoenix guard Jayvee Mocon since his injury and surgery; he scored 13 buckets, four assists and four rebounds to help the team for the win.

Terrafirma Dyip standings

On the other hand, Juami Tionson created 27 points for Terrafirma Dyip, but it was not enough to give a lift to the whole team and get the win. Their import Jordan Williams scored 14 points only.

This is the 3rd straight loss for the Terrafirma, and they are still struggling on the court. Their last two games were against the power team TNT Tropang Giga and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, who are also working on getting stable wins in the conference.

Phoenix and Terrafirma remain below the standings with the same 2-5 win-loss record.
