“Per Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) advisory, only domestic flights were affected by the power outage. All international flights will operate as scheduled,” CAAP said in a statement.

“Recovery flights are anticipated to accommodate stranded travelers, and airlines are already assisting passengers with rebooking and refunds. The CAAP is working closely with airlines to ensure that all affected passengers are taken care of.”

In a separate statement, the MIAA said the power outage occurred at 1:05 a.m.

The MIAA apologized to travelers “for the inconvenience that the situation may have brought to them.”

“MIAA operations personnel are now continuously doing the rounds of Terminal 3 to provide assistance to passengers and answer inquiries they might have,” it said.

On January 1, a power outage knocked out the air traffic management system at NAIA, forcing the cancellation of hundreds of flights and affecting thousands of passengers.
