APRIL is almost up and the day dedicated to our dear mothers is just around the corner.

In three weeks, families will be celebrating their day with their mothers, their mother-figures, or the male figures who stood as mothers in their family.

To see the different faces of mothers in the Philippines, here are some heartwarming and comedic movies you can watch this Mother’s Day.

It tells the story of Filipino-Chinese Melinda (Sharon Cuneta), who finds a way to reconnect with her children after the sudden death of her husband. Her in-laws had taken her children away as they never liked her.

Miss Granny

Based on the South Korean film of the same name, this is about an elderly woman, Fely (Nova Villa), who suddenly finds herself becoming young again after visiting a photo studio to get her picture taken.

She unknowingly finds herself in a love triangle between her band manager Lorenz and Jeboy, who is clueless that Audrey is his grandmother.

The film shows Fely’s struggles to reconnect with her son Ramoncito (Noni Buencamino), as he holds a grudge against her for leaving him. It also shows her sacrifices as a mother when she was younger.
