The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will be on heightened alert from March 31 to April 10 to ensure that people travel safely before, during, and after Holy Week.

Among the measures to be undertaken include random drug testing of drivers and conductors, monitoring of transportation hubs, and roadworthiness inspections of public utility vehicles, the agency said in a statement on Monday, March 27.

The LTO will also conduct a seminar for drivers and conductors of PUVs on Tuesday, March 28.
