FOLLOWING the recent controversy involving pop-singer Selena Gomez, one of her hit songs Love You Like A Love Song reached its highest number of streams on Spotify.
The 2011 song from the American pop rock band Selena Gomez and The Scene received over 619,000 streams earlier this week.
In 2009, the pop-singer released her debut album, Kiss and Tell with her band, which reached the ninth spot on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The band later released more albums: A Year Without Rain (2010) and When the Sun Goes Down (2011).
One of its songs in its second album includes Love You Like a Love Song, which was considered a commercial success in North America, peaking at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 10 on the Canadian Hot 100.
Despite the success it has garnered in the music scene, the band went on an everlasting hiatus in 2012.

Selena also recently defended her best friend and multi-awarded singer-songwriter Taylor Swift after a video resurfaced showing Hailey throwing shade at the Anti-Hero singer.
