If you are still on the hunt for coffee shops to visit, you might as well consider these three favorite cafes of British electronic pop duo HONNE in the Philippines.
HONNE concluded their three-day concert held in Manila, Davao, and Cebu, as part of their May 2023 Asia Tour. Other stops of the tour include Hong Kong, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur which will be held on May 21.
Andy Clutterbuck and James Hatcher’s last visit in Manila was in 2019, where they performed in seven Ayala Malls along with Arkansas-based duo JOAN.
In an Instagram post, the alt-pop duo shared that it was their first time visiting Cebu and Davao, and that they will definitely come back.
While in the country, HONNE also shared in another Instagram post that they had the chance to visit some coffee shops in Manila, Davao, and Cebu, which became their favorites.
1C Coffee (Manila)
This coffee shop is not the usual sit-down cafe one can find in Metro Manila.
1C Coffee has a simple and spacious floor plan with only a few tables and chairs inside, and a bike parking area outside, making it a go-to place for cyclists.
Customers can either enjoy their drink indoors or in front of the coffee shop where they can interact with other bikers.
Drinks that they offer range from espresso, hand-brewed, specialty tea, bottled coffee, non-coffee, and 1C signature blend. Prices for their drinks start at P120.
There are also varieties of food to choose from such as rice meals, sandwiches, bagels, and pastries.

A coffee shop and a clothing brand, Darkk Coffee Co. opens its streetside location at Palma Gil St.,Obrero in Davao City.
The shop has a small space but customers can see up front how baristas make their coffee. Prior to this, Darkk Coffee Co. was a small mobile coffee shop in Diamond Village Phase 1 in Davao.
Included in its menu for hot drinks are espresso, americano, latte, cortado, cappuccino, flat white, and mocha.
For cold drinks, they have latte and mocha versions of spanish, caramel macchiato, almond, tiramisu, hazelnut, french vanilla, cookie dough, and salted caramel.
Prices for drinks start at P90. Shirts, meanwhile, are priced at P600.
Payag Coffee House (Cebu)
One will definitely feel the Filipino spirit in this coffee shop, which operates in a bahay kubo.
Payag Coffee House is just along the Transcentral Highway in Barangay Busay, making it easy to spot on.
The traditional coffee house set up a few tables and chairs on its tiny space in front for customers who want to take a quick break.
Payag Coffee offers espresso, americano, cappuccino, latte, mocha, chocolate, matcha, lemonade, and tea, which can be hot or iced depending on the customer’s preference.
