ACTRESS LJ Reyes looked happy and radiant as her friends threw her a bridal shower in New York to celebrate her forthcoming wedding.
Her recent Instagram stories showed a glowing Reyes strolling around the streets of the Big Apple and posing with her friends while wearing a white collared mini dress with a crown, a veil and a sash saying “bride-to-be.”
“I never thought I will experience this in NYC. Thank you so much girls,’” Reyes wrote.
Last May 30, Reyes surprised everyone when she uploaded photos of her engagement to her soon-to-be husband Philip Evangelista.
Her post immediately gained the attention of netizens, many of whom congratulated the actress for finally finding forever after two widely-publicized failed attempts at love.
Earlier this month, she posted photos of their prenup shoot that was commended by netizens for its simplicity and minimalism.
Unlike most celebrity prenups, Reyes and Evangelista opted for no-fuss looks.

LJ’s journey to New York
Reyes has two kids from previous relationships: her son Aki with actor Paolo Avelino and daughter Summer with Paolo Contis.
She moved to New York with her children after she separated from Contis in 2021. In an emotional interview with Boy Abunda on his YouTube channel, the actress seemingly alluded to money and third party issues as the reason for her split with Contis.
Later, Contis would admit to being in a relationship with actress Yen Santos, with whom he was linked when he was still with Reyes.
