POPULAR Twitch streamer Kyedae Shymco, better known as Kyedae, announced on Friday that she will be skipping this year’s pop culture convention in the Philippines due to health concerns.
In a Facebook post addressed to her Filipino fans, the 21-year-old Japanese-Canadian content creator said she would not be attending the CONQuest 2023 to be held in Pasay City this June 2 to 4.
Kyedae said she decided to step back from joining the event because of the health problems she has been experiencing due to her acute myeloid leukemia.

“As you may have heard, I have been facing some health challenges recently and I need to keep my health my top priority. So with deep regret I will need to take a step back from Conquest 2023,” she added.
Although her absence at the convention saddens her, she mentioned that she’s looking forward to “coming back in the future healthier and stronger than ever.”

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (cancer). I’ll be starting up treatment very soon. With that being said I’m not too sure how my body will react to the treatment so I do apologize in advance if my stream schedule isn’t consistent! Stay safe <3
