Influencer Marti Salva opens up about viral Tiktok superstar pet cat ‘Leet’

Tiktok isn’t just for humans, it is a place for your superstar pets, too. 

If you’ve been around Titkok and you follow content about pets, chances are you’ve already come across the social media love team of feline superstar Leet (pronounced as Liit). @presidentleet.

Leet is the adorable and hilarious British Shorthair cat of influencer Marti Salva who gained a massive following thanks to the creative storytelling of its furdad.

As of writing, Salva’s Tiktok channel has 240,000 followers. Most of them are going gaga over the three-year old Leet’s comic antics.

Fans surprisingly liked the concept of playing loveteams on pets. In fact, this concept was what gave Salva his first multi-million views.

 

“Meron siyang isang video na parang ni-lo-loveteam namin siya sa ibang pusa and then ayun, 14 million views ata siya ngayon sa Tiktok,” he said. 

All this was accidental fame because Salva’s account wasn’t intended for cat content. 

“Originally ‘yung Tiktok na ‘yun, personal account ko so nag-u-upload lang ako ng kung anu-ano, then one time katulad nu’ng maraming nag-boo-boom sa Tiktok, may na-upload silang isang video na ‘pag nag-viral, ‘yun na ‘yung nag-de-determine nu’ng content nila,” he told republicasia. 

“So and nangyari, nu’ng nag-upload ako ng isang video ni Leet, pinick-up ng tao,” he added.

Leet is Silva’s second baby that he got at only three months old.

Unlike those who wait for years before their Tiktok accounts gain momentum, Silva only took barely six months to reach over 240,000 followers. In fact, his following shot up from just five to over a hundred thousand in only three months from October to December. 

Brands have started asking him for partnerships to endorse, among others, a department store and cat food brands. They are even being asked to endorse appliances and internet modems.

The cat’s popularity is unstoppable. Fans are requesting a meet and greet with this adorable cat. Lucky if the fans find a way to convince the cat to be sociable.
