HYBE refuses to confirm that BTS member J-Hope will be enlisting for the mandatory military service on April 18 as reported by local media.
“We aren’t able to share the specific date and location of J-Hope’s military enlistment at this time. We appreciate your understanding,” BIGHIT MUSIC said in response to the rumors.
On Thursday, Korean news outlet, News1 released the news about J-Hope’s enlistment. The K-Pop idol is said to undergo basic training in New Recruit Training Center Division A in Gangwon on April 18.

J-Hope is the third member in BTS to enlist for their military service. Jin was the first before Suga followed suit.

BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed the group’s military enlistment last October 17 through their Twitter account. Because of their popularity, the agency decided to postpone their enlistment and focus on their milestone. However, they made a decision to push through with the enlistment as a sign of respect to the needs of the country.
After BTS announced that the group will be going on a three-year hiatus, its members have started releasing their solo projects.
Jungkook collaborated with Charlie Puth for the track “Left and Right,” RM released a solo album, MONO, and Jimin released “Face.”
