A miniature dachshund became an internet star after her furmom posted a video of this pampered pooch looking cozy under the blankets in a business class flight to Istanbul.
Fifi, a four-year old miniature long-haired dachshun, is a rescue dog based in Hong Kong. She was adopted by a British woman named Helen Rosalie when she was just one year old.
In an Instagram post, Rosalie shared a video of Fifi snuggling with her blankets in an 11-hour flight from Hong Kong to Istanbul.

While Fifi looked cuddly and relaxed, some people felt disgusted to the point of criticizing the owner over her treatment of the dog. They called out Rosalie, saying that it would have been better if she spent the money to help homeless and starving children.
“I’m not a hater. You can spend your money on whatever you want. It just seems a bit sad that you’d prefer to spend tens of thousands on a dog (a very cute one I agree) – and call it your daughter, when there are thousands of children in care homes that you could make into a real daughter,” wrote one Instagram user.

Rosalie barked back, saying this effort to make Fifi’s life comfortable is not something non-dog owners would easily understand. While some attacked the innocent dog, there were many others who found Fifi adorable and even commended Rosalie for properly treating her “furbaby.”

The online community also agreed with Rosalie’s statement that dogs are indeed their children.
“She’s adorable! I would spoil my pup like this if I could. Your fur baby deserves the best. They are our children; you are absolutely right,” an Instagram user commented.
“Haters gonna hate! 👏 But who couldn’t love such a sweet face!,” said another.
“Love this 10000%. You’re an amazing fur mom. Thank you for showing the world that we should be kind and caring to animals,” wrote another Instagram user.
The number of pets who travel first class or via private jet is growing. Instead of leaving their pets to caretakers, owners opt to bring their fuzzy buddies to their trips.
A report by the South China Morning Post said that the pet traveling business is on the rise. Owners typically pay around $95 to $125 for their pets’ airfare. In 2022, the pet transportation service market accumulated an estimated size of $522 million. It is expected to grow by $812 million this year.
