MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Representative for Miss Planet International 2022 Herlene Nicole Budol has called out Ethiopian Airlines after experiencing trouble in the loading and delivery of her national costume for the pageant.
“Ang national costume mukhang na disgrasya po ng airlines,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
” Pagdating ng airport ayaw ipakarga kesyo over size daw. Then no choice narin kami at hinayaan nalang namin chinopchop nila at binaklas buong box,” she said.
She boarded the Ethiopian flight for Uganda on November 3 for the Miss Planet beauty competition.
“Ang masaklap yung pinaka body ng costume hindi nakarating ng UGANDA,” she added.
According to the beauty queen, the airline promised that the costume would arrive by evening but it turned out that by 2 in the morning, they were still waiting and they hadn’t heard any feedback from the airline yet.
The beauty contest is set on November 19.
