Typhoon Falcon has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but rains caused by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will continue in the next three days, the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 5 p.m. bulletin.
At 4 p.m., the center of Falcon was located 835 kilometers northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
It was traveling west northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour, with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 215 km/h.
PAGASA said the Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Falcon would bring occasional to monsoon rains over the western portion of Luzon in the next three days.
”Falcon is forecast track west northwestward as it decelerates over the waters southeast of Okinawa Islands. Afterwards, the typhoon will pass south of the Okinawa Islands between tonight and tomorrow morning. A period of slow movement may occur by Thursday over the East China Sea,” the agency said.
