Ex-2NE1’s Park Bom to hold 1st fan concert in Manila

FILIPINO Blackjacks are surely having the time of their lives as another 2NE1 member will be setting the Philippine concert stage on fire this June!

South Korean singer Park Bom will be staging a solo concert in the country, as announced by a local concert organizer.

The former member of the iconic KPop girl group 2NE1 is set to perform at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on June 10.

Park’s Manila show will be part of her first-ever fan concert in the country called You & I.

“[Park Bom] is coming to Manila for her first-ever fan concert, and she’s ready to show the world what a true queen is made of!” Neuwave Events Production wrote in a tweet. .

“Get ready to be dazzled by her stunning vocals and experience a night you’ll never forget!” it added 

The show will take place a week after fellow 2NE1 member Minzy’s Glee in Manila concert, which will also be staged in the same venue.

Meet Park Bom! 

Park Bom is a South Korean singer and actress. 

The 39-year-old KPop idol first debuted in 2009 as a member of the girl group 2NE1 under YG Entertainment. 

The group disbanded in 2016. 

Park gained popularity for her unique vocal tone and powerful singing ability.

She has released several solo singles and has collaborated with various artists. Her songs include DON’T CRY, Remembered, and her most recent release, Flower

She has also appeared in several television dramas and variety shows, showcasing her acting skills and personality.

In 2019, she competed in the South Korean reality show Queendom where she battled it out with other acts to see who would emerge number one. 

In addition to her successful career in the entertainment industry, Park has also faced controversies, including a drug scandal in 2014 where she was accused of trying to bring in amphetamines from the US to South Korea where these are illegal. She said she was unaware that the substance, which she took for medical purposes, was prohibited, and she was not indicted. 

Despite the challenges, Park has continued to pursue her passion for music and has gained a dedicated fanbase both in South Korea and internationally.
