(PRESS RELEASE)- Youthcaster Production’s Sketsa Na Dagupan (Sketch of Dagupan) was one of the eight finalists of the Montañosa Film Festival in Baguio City. The project will receive a production grant and will premiere in next year’s edition of the festival (Tentatively set on March 2024).

Finalists were chosen by mentor-jurors and award-winning documentarists Ditsi Carolino, Nico Hernandez, and Jet Leyco in a hybrid pitching session at Baguio Gallery. The awarding ceremony took place in Baguio City Convention Center on April 1, 2023.

About Sketsa Na Dagupan

Sketsa Na Dagupan is a documentary film project under the direction of Christan Ramoso. The film mirrors the life of an 81-year old visual artist in Dagupan named Mariano “Boy” Aguinaldo. He is regarded as the King of Metal Arts in Dagupan City, and was one of the students of National Artist in 1972 Victorio Edades way back in University of Santo Tomas. Also, the story explores the hurdles faced by most of the emerging artists as well as the present situation of the city’s growing art scene.
