The Department of Education (DepEd) on Wednesday, March 29, thumbed down a proposal to move the regular school break back to April and May.
“There are no plans to revert” at the moment, DepEd spokesperson Michael Poa said, after it was suggested by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, chairperson of the Senate committee on basic education.
Poa said school heads have the discretion to suspend in-person classes and immediately switch to alternative delivery modes or blended learning if the environment is not conducive to learning.
